Alabama Crimson Tide at LSU Tigers 2010 NCAAF Week 10 Odds, Preview, Predictions

Alabama Crimson Tide at LSU Tigers 2010 NCAAF Week 10 Odds, Preview, and Predictions:  Head football coach Nick Saban leads his No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide to his old haunt as they travel for a big SEC matchup with the No. 12 LSU Tigers at 3:30 PM ET on Saturday on CBS.  LSU and Alabama are both 7-1, 4-1 and tied for 2nd in the SEC West behind the Auburn Tigers whom LSU lost and Bama still has on its schedule.  “This team has a great opportunity in the last one-third of the season,” Tide coach Nick Saban said Monday. “We need everyone’s best. We need their best attention to detail. We need their best energy and enthusiasm, the best focus on execution.  The focus doesn’t need to be on the finish line.”

The winner will have the best shot at going to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game and a shot at a BCS Bowl and outside chance at the BCS National Championship game.  “I think there’s a lot of other people probably in the same boat, so it’s who can take care of their business the best down the road,” Saban said. “What we control is how we play. That’s the most important thing that we want to be able to focus on. That’s why we need everybody’s best at this time of the year.  We’re going to play some of the best teams, and we need to be playing our best football of the year if we’re going to be able to accomplish what we have an opportunity to accomplish.”  Vegas odds makers have the Alabama Crimson Tide a -7 point favorite on the road against the LSU Tigers.

Alabama is coming off a 41-10 road win against the Tennessee Volunteers.  Quarterback Greg McElroy completed 21 of 32 passes for 264 yards.  Trent Richardson led the way on the ground with 12 carries for 119 yards and a touchdown while Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram toted the ball 14 times for 88 yards and 2 scores.  Vegas odds makers have the Alabama Crimson Tide +300 odds to win the 2011 BCS National Championship.

LSU is coming off a road loss 24-17 to the undefeated No. 3 Auburn Tigers.  Quarterback Jordon Jefferson completed 7 of 14 passes for 46 yards and a touchdown platooning with Lee who went 8 of 14 for 43 yards.  Jefferson also carried 16 times for 74 yards and another score.  Odds makers at JustBET have the over/under for the total score at 45 points combined of the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers.

I predict an LSU win at home.  Go Tigers!
