Arkansas Razorbacks at South Carolina Gamecocks 2010 NCAAF Week 10 Odds, Preview, Predictions

Arkansas Razorbacks at South Carolina Gamecocks 2010 NCAAF Week 10 Odds, Preview, and Predictions:  Head football coach Steve Spurrier and his No. 17 South Carolina Gamecocks will play host to an important SEC showdown with the No. 19 Arkansas Razorbacks at 7:00 PM ET at Williams-Brice Stadium on ESPN.  The Razorbacks come in at 6-2, 3-2 good for 4th place in the SEC West while the Gamecocks are 6-2, 4-2 and in 1st place in the SEC East looking to get a win to keep themselves in position to go to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta.  The Gamecocks control their own destiny as they face the Florida Gators next week at the Swamp in Gainesville where Spurrier won a National Championship as head football coach.  “We talked briefly about it Monday, that this is Arkansas week and next week we’ll talk about the Florida game,” Spurrier said. “We all know what that’s about and we’ll wait till next week to talk about it.”  Vegas odds makers have the South Carolina Gamecocks a -4 1/2 point favorite at home against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Arkansas is coming off a big home win over Vanderbilt 49-14 covering the spread and moving them to 5-2 ATS for the season.  SEC passing leader quarterback Ryan Mallett completed 27 of 44 passes for 409 yards and 3 touchdowns hitting Jarius Wright with 6 balls for 87 yards and 2 scores while completing passes to 8 different Razorback players.  Running back Knile Davis lead the rushing attack with 19 carries for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns while catching 3 balls for 42 yards as well.  The Hogs will look to exploit the Gamecocks secondary which is last in the SEC giving up 259 yards per game.  Vegas odds makers have Ryan Mallett at +4500 odds to win the Heisman Trophy.

South Carolina has won 2 straight including a 38-24 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers in their last outing leaving them at 4-3 ATS for the season.  Quarterback Steven Garcia completed 13 of 22 passes for 223 yards a touchdown and a pick hitting Alshon Jeffery with a 70 yard TD pass.  Garcia also ran the ball 10 times for 18 yards and 2 more scores.  Powering the offense on the ground was running back Marcus Lattimore who carried the ball 29 times for 184 yards and a touchdown.  The total has gone OVER in 4 of South Carolina’s last 6 games when playing Arkansas.  Odds makers at Brobury have the over/under for the total score at 59 points combined of the Arkansas Razorbacks and South Carolina Gamecocks.

I predict an Arkansas win on the road.  Suuuueeey!
