NFL Preseason Hall of Fame Game Odds and Preview

The 2009 NFL Preseason officially kicks off tonight when the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans take the field in Canton, Ohio for the annual Hall of Fame Game. It’s been a big weekend for the Bills franchise, as owner Ralph Wilson and legendary former Bills defensive end Bruce Smith were inducted into the Hall on saturday. The 2009 version of the Bills takes the field tonight and it will be the first game in a Bills uniform for Terrell Owens. The controversial wide receiver looks to help a Bills passing offense that has ranked 25th or worse in each of the last six seasons. The signing of Owens has gone over big in the Buffalo area, as season ticket sales are up over 53,000 and his #81 jersey has been flying off the shelves. The Bills fans are hopeful that the addition of Owens can help get their team back to the playoffs for the 1st time since the 2000 season. As for the Titans, they will be looking to improve upon last season’s 13-3 finish and have Super Bowl aspirations. Titans head coach Jeff Fisher has led the Titans to the playoffs six times in the last ten seasons and feels this team could be his best yet. Fisher has stated Vince Young will play about a half after Kerry Collins, as Young tries to reclaim the starting job after getting benched in favor of Collins last season. Vegas oddsmakers have installed the Titans a -3 favorite with the total being set at 31.5.
