New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 7

New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 7:  The New England Patriots are playing well and travel to play the San Diego Chargers who are starting slow again under head football coach Norv Turner on Sunday at 4:15 PM ET at Qualcomm Stadium in southern California.  Turner’s Chargers are 2-4 and in danger of falling out of the playoff race if they don’t start winning some games even while quarterback Phillip Rivers leads the NFL with 2008 yards passing.  “I’ve been doing this long enough to know there are no guarantees for anybody, and that’s why every week is a new week and you’ve got to prepare that way,” Coach Turner said. “And anyone who’s naive enough … to think that there’s a game that’s going to be easy in this league, they don’t know enough about the National Football League.  I’m accountable and you know how I feel about it. It’s all on me. I’m going to do everything I can to get it straightened out.”  The Patriots are 4-1 and looking for their 4th straight win even after trading Randy Moss the best offensive target for quarterback Tom Brady.  The odds makers at SBG Global have the San Diego Chargers -3 point favorites at home against the New England Patriots.

The Patriots are coming off a big win in overtime 23-20 over the Baltimore Ravens that rolled them out of the playoffs last year.  Brady completed 27 of 44 passes for 292 yards a touchdown and uncharacteristic 2 interceptions while hitting returning receiver Deion Branch 9 times for 98 yards and a touchdown after a 4 year absence.  “I’ve been throwing balls to him for a long time,” quarterback Tom Brady said. “That chemistry is there, and it will be there.”  Running backs BenJarvus Green-Ellis, 10 carried for 20 yards and a touchdown, and Danny Woodhead with 11 carries for 63 yards and 5 receptions for another 52 yards platooned to balance the offense.  Vegas odds makers have the New England Patriots as +1000 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Chargers lost on the road 20-17 to the St. Louis Rams to fall t0 2-4 for the season.  Rivers went 22 for 37 for 249 yards a touchdown and a pick hitting Crayton 6 times for 117 yards.  San Diego is 7-1 SU in its last 8 games at home but just 2-4 ATS this season while the total has gone UNDER in 4 of New England’s last 6 games when playing San Diego.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 48 1/2 points combined of the New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers.

I predict a Pats win while the Chargers continue to slide. Note: Rich Fritz is a Blog Writer on NSAwins.com and not a pro handicapper. For expert NFL Football Predictions against the vegas spreads please visit the NSAwins.com homepage for top predictions today from the National Sports Advisors.
