Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 10

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 10:  Head Football Coach Brad “Chilly” Childress takes his Minnesota Viking on the road to Soldier Field to take on the division rival Chicago Bears on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET on FOX.  The Bears enter the game at 5-3 2nd in the NFC North looking to catch the Green Bay Packers for 1st while the Vikings are at 3-5 and 3rd in the NFC North.  The Vikings poor start has the team in turmoil and coach Childress has been rumored to be on the hot seat for releasing Randy Moss so abruptly but quarterback Brett Favre says the team is only focused on the game.   “Those younger guys in there, they want new contracts, they want to be in the Pro Bowl and the best player at their position,” said Favre, who at times has had his own issues with Childress. “They can’t look at it from, ‘Who’s my coach?’ It’s still football. You have to run routes, you have to block, you have to tackle, you have to make the right reads; you have to overcome adversity.  “A head coach is a head coach. Individually, that’s the way it should be and that’s the way I approach it.”  The odds makers at SBG Global have the Minnesota Vikings -1 point favorites on the road against the Chicago Bears.

The Vikings are coming off a 27-24 come from behind win against the Arizona Cardinals moving them to 3-5 against the spread for the season.  Quarterback Brett Favre completed 36 of 47 passes for 446 yards the most he’s ever thrown for in his 20 seasons in the NFL.  Favre also had 2 touchdowns as well as a couple of picks.  Percy Harvin had another big day as Favre’s favorite target snagging 9 balls for 126 yards.  Running back Adrian Peterson carried 15 times for 81 yards and a score.  Vegas odds makers have the Minnesota Vikings as +3000 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Bears had a close call but won 22-19 and moved to 3-4-1 against the spread for the season. Quarterback Jay Cutler completed 17 of 30 passes for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Chicago is 8-1 SU in its last 9 games when playing at home against Minnesota and the total has gone OVER in 4 of Minnesota’s last 5 games when playing on the road against Chicago.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 40 1/2 points combined of the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears.

I predict another Brett Favre victory.  Go Vikes!
