Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 10

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 10:  Rookie head football coach Jason Garrett will lead his Dallas Cowboys on the road to the New Meadowlands Stadium to take on the New York Football Giants on Sunday afternoon at 4:15 PM ET on Fox Sports.  The New York Giants enter the game at 6-2 1st in the NFC East while Dallas is at 1-7 and dead last.  Owner Jerry Jones finally pulled the trigger on Wade Phillips and installed Garrett as the interim head football coach.  Early reports from the players seem to like the change but they need to grow up and play to their potential to make it permanent.  “Wade is no longer the coach. I am the coach and what we’re going to do going forward (is) get ready to have a great meeting, a great walkthrough and a great practice on Wednesday and give ourselves a chance to beat the Giants on Sunday,” said Garrett, who conducted his first full practice Wednesday.  This is a tough situation for a first time head coach and will need the players to step up, even with starting quarterback Tony Romo out with an injury.  The odds makers at Bodog have the Dallas Cowboys -14 point favorites at home against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Giants are coming off a 5 game winning streak most recently against the Seattle Seahawks 41-7 to move them to 5-3 against the spread for the season.  Quarterback Eli Manning completed 21 of 32 passes for 290 yards and 3 touchdowns hitting Hakeem Nicks with 6 balls for 128 yards and a 46 yard score.  Marshall University’s Ahmad Bradshaw carried the ball 19 times for 57 yards but scored 2 touchdowns.  Vegas odds makers have the New York Giants as +700 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Cowboys got a beat down at Green Bay 45-7 where many players seem to lack effort resulting in the firing of Wade Phillips… Finally!  Quarterback John Kitna completed 19 of 30 passes for 183 yards but continued to show the rust as he had 2 picks.  Felix Jones and Marion Barber combined for just 11 carries ad 30 yards rushing.  The total has gone OVER in 7 of Dallas’s last 9 games when playing on the road against NY Giants. Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 44 points combined of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.

I predict the Cowboys lose but cover take the points to win.
