Free NFL Picks from Stephen G (Week 4)

Much like Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Arizona, I’m off to a sluggish start to the year in the picks department.  I’m not out of contention by any stretch, but I need to pick up the pace, as Yogi Berra used to say, “It gets late early out here”…..  Anyway, here’s hoping I channel my inner Jerry Jones and pick a few winners!

Season 10-13  43%

Sunday 10/4

Cincinnati minus 5.5-Two teams going in opposite directions here.  It’s close to a full-blown mutiny against Captain Mangina and I think the Bengals are smelling blood in the water.

NY Giants minus 8.5 – I think the G Men keep their feet on the gas as well as any team out there.  They are playing cupcakes for sure, but they are putting them away early like they’re supposed to.

NY Jets plus 7 – The hottest offense against the hottest defense in this matchup.  I think Revis & Butthead are in for their biggest test but they are cocky and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a close game.

Baltimore plus 2 – The Ravens will show the same defense the Jets showed plus they have a better offense than the Jets.  The Pats are still hitting on maybe 6 of 8 cylinders and if Welker was playing I might go the other way on this pick.

Oakland plus 9.5 – This isn’t a play on the Raiders as much as it’s a play against Houston.  What exactly has Houston done to prove it should be a 9.5 favorite against anybody?   Way too many points here…..

Monday 10/5

Minnesota minus 3 – As much as I’d like to see Brett Fart get his ass handed to him, I think the Vi-Queens will be flying high and ready to go in their first primetime game of the year.  First round goes to Favre….

Minnesota/GreenBay – Under 45.5  If GB can reasonably keep AP from running wild, this game should be a 24-17 type of game…
