The Boston Celtics are Struggling and Doc Rivers and NOT AGE is the MAIN REASON
The Boston Celtics are 10-4 today after winning 107-105 in OT at the buzzer yesterday afternoon against a terrible Knicks team in New York. The Celtics are just 2-3 in their last 5 games and have not matched up well against the better teams they have faced, as they are just 1-3 against Orlando, Atlanta, Phoenix and Cleveland. The cause for concern is NOT age or a lack of talent, but it’s the overall mood and body language of the team. Their seems to be 5 guys on the court playing individually instead of as a cohesive unit and it appears that the veterans(notably Paul Pierce and Ray Allen) have begun to tune out Doc Rivers. If you listen to Doc’s postgame press conferences or read his quotes in the paper, he always seems to distance himself from any blame when things don’t go well and cast the blame on the players without outright saying it. However, when they win and are rolling, Doc always seems to mention specefic coaching and strategic moves that make him look like he is the real reason why the team is winning. Folks, the guy is as OVERRATED as a head coach as they come. The guy is in cahoots with all the media and NBA TV crews and gives them access and behind the scenes info to keep them from questioning him and singing his praises. He is an EXPERT at manipulating the media so he can escape criticism and get more than his fair share of praise. Frankly, it does not take an expert or an “insider” to see right through his act. In a lot of ways he reminds me of this FRAUD president we have in office. Both have the media kissing their ass and not calling them out for the HACKS that they truly are. An NBA coach has ONE job to do and one job to do only. MAXIMIZE the team’s potential. This isn’t college where a GREAT coach can take a bunch of farm boys and “coach them up”. In the NBA, it is a players league. The Celtics have CHAMPIONSHIP potential. Sure, Doc coached them to a title 2 years ago. That’s great. However, it’s 2009 and the championship window is closing fast for the Celtics and they can’t afford to let this season go down the toilet because their stars have begun to tune out Doc. Celtics GM Danny Ainge should FIRE this guy if the Celtics continue to struggle over the next 20 games. Sure, the national and local media will HAMMER Ainge and Celtics ownership for doing it because Rivers is a media darling, but that will all be forgotten if the new coach leads them to banner #18.

Can we all settle down with Jimmie Johnson and this ridiculous talk that somehow he is the nation’s BEST athlete because he just WON his 4th NASCAR championship. Hey, I’ll be the first to admit I can care less about this redneck sport. Put me in a friggen car and I too can win races. You should have seen me weave my magic on the interstate in my heyday. I mean, seriously, does it take an “athlete” to take left turns going 200mph for a few hours each weekend? Give me break. Put a fat slob behind the wheel and he can win races too. However, can a fat slob do what Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady or Floyd Mayweather Jr do in their respective sports? I think not. Settle down rednecks. Your sport will NEVER have the nation’s BEST athlete. Go drink another BUD LIGHT with Uncle Billie will ya.

What did I tell you about this fat slob and his team of paper champions? Like EVERY YEAR, these bums are fading fast before all the leaves northeast all have even fallen off the trees. I got a kick out of Fat Rex cussing on the sideline in the final 2 minutes yesterday after Bill Belichick had Tom Brady attempt a “F U” bomb for a TD with a 31-14 lead. Apparently Fat Rex thought that was disrespectful and not classy. LOL, are you kidding me BIG MOUTH? Wasn’t it you that was running your fat mouth all offseason and after week 2’s win over New England about you not being afraid of Belichick and that you didn’t come to “kiss Belichick’s rings”? Hey, SHUT YOUR MOUTH and deal with it when the guy you ran your mouth to wants to pour salt in your wound. Have fun watching the Pats play in January while you eat your Doritos on the coach. LOSER.
