Denver (51-27), meanwhile, has stayed in the race for the #2 seed in the Western Conference by posting wins in their last three games after a 1-5 skid and fought hard for a 98-94 win over Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Chauncey Billups pumped in 31 points and Carmelo Anthony added 24, helping the Nuggets overcome a 13-point deficit. The Lakers won the last meeting between these two clubs 95-89 victory back on Feb. 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. LA had lost the previous two games with the Nuggets, including an embarassing 105-79 blowout loss at the Pepsi Center in November—the biggest margin of defeat this season.
