Minnesota Twins @ Los Angeles Angels Odds and Picks – MLB Betting 4/8/10

NSAwins.com has posted the vegas odds for tonight’s Minnesota Twins at Los Angeles Angels MLB game(10:05 PM EST) and vegas oddsmakers have made the Los Angeles Angels a -125 moneyline favorite with the total set at 9.5. Minnesota(2-1) dropped the season opener 6-3 monday night but have taken the last two games of the four game series the past two nights – 5-3 tuesday and 4-2 last night. Kevin Slowey will get the start tonight for the Twins and the 25-year-old right-hander will be looking to bounce back from a right wrist injury last season that required surgery and limited him to only 16 starts. Slowey went 10-3 with a 4.86 ERA before being sidelined with the injury last season. Slowey ws strong versus LA last season, as he tossed seven solid innings April 18 in his lone start against the Angels in 2009. Slowey is 2-1 with a 4.57 ERA in his brief career thus far against the Angels. The Angels will hand the ball over to Joel Pineiro and hope the new Angel can help LA salvage a split of the 4 game series tonight. Pineiro will be making his Angels debut tonight after being signed in the offseason to replace the departed John Lackey in the rotation. Pineiro finished 15-12 with a 3.49 ERA last season for the St. Louis Cardinals and was solid this spring for the Angels, ending up 4-0 with a 4.38 ERA in six spring training starts. The 31-year-old right-hander has struggled in his career against Minnesota going 2-6 with a 4.32 ERA, including a loss last season. NSAwins.com’s expert handicapper Sonny LaFouchi(aka The LEGEND) looks for the Angels to salvage the split and get the win tonight behind a strong outing from Joel Pineiro.
