2020 LS Tractor 200 Odds & Predictions: Favorites, Value Bets and Sleepers at Phoenix Raceway

2020 LS Tractor 200 Odds & Predictions – Favorites, Value Bets and Sleepers at Phoenix Raceway: The NASCAR XFINITY Series heads to the desert this weekend to wrap up the West Coast swing at Phoenix Raceway. The low-banked, one-mile oval will host Saturday’s LS Tractor 200, and while the layout of the track can be a challenge in itself, the XFINITY regulars have bigger problems to deal with.

For the first time this year, we have a couple of Cup stars pulling double duty. Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski are both in the field, and not only do both drivers own multiple wins at Phoenix, they are also the winners of the past two March races at the track.

Needless to say, you should focus a majority of your bets on these two studs this weekend, and if you are going to bet on an upset, I would stick mainly to the top XFINITY regulars. Even the top series regulars have a tough time keeping the Cup guys out of victory lane, so the chances of a total longshot coming away with the win Saturday are slim.

Favorites to Bet

Kyle Busch

Nobody dominates the XFINITY Series quite like Kyle Busch, and he has been especially unstoppable at Phoenix. He is the defending winner of this weekend’s race, and he has piled up 11 total wins in 23 starts. Busch has also finished in the top five in his last 10 XFINITY starts at Phoenix, logging seven wins in that stretch and leading more than 100 laps eight times. Feel free to put a ton of cash down on Busch in this one.

Brad Keselowski

The other big name in the field this weekend is Keselowski. The last time he entered an XFINITY Series race at Phoenix, he led 66 laps and went to victory lane in March of 2018. He has six straight top-10s at the track overall, winning twice and finishing third or better four times. After Kyle Busch, Keselowski is the best bet to reach victory lane Saturday.

Other Contenders

Justin Allgaier

While the two Cup drivers in the field are certainly the favorites, Allgaier is without question the top bet among the XFINITY regulars. He has five top-five finishes in eight starts at Phoenix with his current JR Motorsports team, including a pair of wins. One of those wins came last fall when he led 85 laps in a dominant performance, and Allgaier has led at least 69 laps in four of his last six starts at the track.

Austin Cindric

He’s been strong out of the gate in 2020, following up a runner-up effort at Las Vegas with a third-place finish at Auto Club. Now, Cindric gets a crack at Phoenix track where he has three straight finishes of sixth or better and has led laps in two of those starts. If anything happens to the Cup stars Saturday, expect Cindric to be one of the drivers waiting to take advantage.

Chase Briscoe

Briscoe has probably been the most impressive XFINITY regular out of the gate in 2020. In addition to winning at Las Vegas, he has led a series-high 110 laps, leading laps in all three races thus far. He finished sixth in his Phoenix debut last March, and he led double-digit laps and finished in the top 10 in the fall. Briscoe looks primed to compete for the title and to contend for wins on a weekly basis.

Daniel Hemric

In four career XFINITY starts at Phoenix, Hemric has a 5.0 average finish and has never finished worse than seventh. He was the runner-up in his most recent start at the track, and this weekend, he will be driving for the No. 8 JR Motorsports team that finished second in the March race here last year with Ryan Truex behind the wheel. Hemric should be running near the front this weekend.

Sleeper Special

Ryan Sieg

Sieg was one of the biggest surprises of 2019, and he has taken yet another leap forward this year. He has opened the 2020 season with three straight top-10s, posting a 5.7 average finish and notching back-to-back top-fives at Las Vegas and Auto Club. Sieg suddenly looks like a legitimate threat to win the first race of his career, and you may want to take a flier on him before he stacks up more strong finishes and oddsmakers catch on.
