2009 Pep Boys 500 Odds – Jimmie Johnson the 4/1 Favorite

NSAwins.com has posted the NASCAR 2009 Pep Boys 500 Odds for Saturday’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA. Vegas oddsmakers have installed Jimmie Johnson as the 4/1(+400) favorite to win the race, while Kyle Busch and Mark Martin both have the next best odds to win the event at 6.5/1(+650). Saturday’s race is the second to last chance for drivers to earn points for the Chase for the Championship, which only the top 12 drivers in the season standings will qualify. Johnson is the three-time defending Chase champ and currently sits second in the overall standings after an 8th place finish in the Sharpie 500 a couple weeks ago. Johnson has been dominant in Atlanta, as he has finished in the top 10 in 10 of his last 12 races there and has taken the checkered flag in three of those races. Overall points leader Tony Stewart is listed as a 7.5/1(+750) favorite to win the 2009 Pep Boys 500, but seems to not be interested in winning events recently with his dissapointing 17th and 33rd place finishes recently after cementing his place in the Chase a few weeks ago. NSAwins.com’s official prediction for the 2009 Pep Boys 500 is for Jimmie Johnson to take home the Championship.
