Michigan State Spartans at Michigan Wolverines 2010 NCAAF Week 6 Odds, Preview, Predictions

Michigan State Spartans at Michigan Wolverines 2010 NCAAF Week 6 Odds, Preview, and Predictions:  The Michigan State Spartans are undefeated and ranked No. 12 and head to Ann Arbor for a clash with state rival the also undefeated and ranked No. 11 Michigan Wolverines on Saturday at 3:30 PM ET on ABC.  Spartan head football coach Mark Dantonio suffered a mild (if there really is such a thing) heart attack after beating Notre Dame with a fake field goal for a touchdown and is trying to ease his way back into coaching the Spartans but coming to the Big House and trying to stop Heisman hopeful quarterback Denard Robinson would be stressful for anyone whether you are on the sideline or in the press box.  “You can’t keep me down Michigan week,” said Dantonio, who looks to guide the Spartans to their first 6-0 start since Nick Saban did it in 1999. “It’s good to be back – again.”  Vegas odds makers have the Michigan Wolverines a -4 1/2 point favorite at home against the Michigan State Spartans.

The Wolverines are 5-0 and 3-1 ATS coming off a 42-35 win at Indiana to open Big 10 conference play.  Quarterback sensation Denard Robinson completed 10 of 16 passes for 277 yards and 3 touchdowns while running the ball 19 times for 217 yards and 2 more scores.  Running back Vincent Smith squeaked into the box score as well with 9 carries for 80 yards including a 56 yard touchdown run.  “For as many problems as we’ve had, and I don’t want to belabor the fact and lower our heads . . . but the main thing is to win. We’ve won.” — Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez on his team’s success.  Vegas odds makers have Denard Robinson at +320 odds to win the Heisman Trophy.

The Spartans are coming off a big win against a then higher ranked Wisconsin Badgers team 34-24 to move to 2-2 ATS and 5-0 overall.  Quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 20 of 29 passes for 269 yards with 3 touchdowns and 2 picks.  Cousins connected with Mark Dell 6 times for 91 yards including a 8 yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter.  Those stats have to be scary to the Michigan defense that has struggled all season against the pass.  Odds makers at BetUS have the over/under for the total score at 65 points combined of the Michigan State Spartans and Michigan Wolverines.

I predict a Big Blue victory at home!  Rock the Big House. Note: Rich Fritz is a Blog Writer on NSAwins.com and not a pro handicapper.
