Alabama Crimson Tide at South Carolina Gamecocks 2010 NCAAF Week 6 Odds, Preview, Predictions

Alabama Crimson Tide at South Carolina Gamecocks 2010 NCAAF Week 6 Odds, Preview, and Predictions:  Head football coach Nick Saban takes his undefeated and No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide to Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, South Carolina for a SEC showdown with No. 20 South Carolina Gamecocks led by the Ole ball coach and master of the obvious Steve Spurrier.  “To slow down Alabama, you’ve obviously got to slow them down to start with,” South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said.  Stopping the Dynamic Duo of Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson who both average more than 7 yards a carry could be a huge problem for the Gamecocks who gave up 334 yards on the ground to Auburn in their lone loss of the season.  And yes, quarterback Greg McElroy still hasn’t lost a game as a starter since the eighth grade.  Vegas odds makers have the Alabama Crimson Tide a -7 1/2 point favorite on the road against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Bama is coming off an impressive win at home against SEC rival the Florida Gators 31-6 where the defense shut down the talented Florida offense allowing only 2 field goals.  Quarterback Greg McElroy completed just 11 for 17 for 84 yards with no touchdowns or picks but handing the ball to the potent running back combo.  Mark Ingram carried 12 times for 47 yards and 2 scores while Trent Richardson toted the rock 10 times for 63 yards.  Alabama is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games on the road and the total has gone UNDER in 4 of Alabama’s last 5 games on the road.  Vegas odds makers have Mark Ingram at +320 odds to win the Heisman Trophy for the second year in a row, a feat only accomplished once.

South Carolina is coming off a tough road loss 35-27 against the Auburn Tigers and is happy to be back at home where they are 9-2 in their last 11 games and coming off a bye week.  Quarterback Stephen Garcia ran the ball 10 times for 21 yards and completed 15 of 21 passes for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns hitting favorite target Alshon Jeffery 8 times for 192 yards and 2 scores.  Odds makers at SBG Global have the over/under for the total score at 65 points combined of the Alabama Crimson Tide and South Carolina Gamecocks.
