Kansas State Wildcats at Kansas Jayhawks 2010 NCAAF Week 7 Odds, Preview, Predictions

Kansas State Wildcats at Kansas Jayhawks 2010 NCAAF Week 7 Odds, Preview, and Predictions:  Head football coach Bill Snyder will try to rebound from the team’s first loss to leave them at 4-1 and 3rd in the Big 12 as they travel across state to take on the 2-3 Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence on Thursday night at 7:30 PM ET on FSN.  “We’re going to have to play a lot better and a lot smarter and coach a lot better,” Snyder said. “I need to coach a lot better, that I know. The depth chart is probably the same as it was when we went in,” Snyder said. “Nobody has done anything to make it any different than it was.”  After a 4-0 start there were high hopes for K State but a beat down from No. 5 Nebraska has them searching for answers that they should be able to get against a struggling Kansas team.  The Wildcats are just a game behind Missouri and Nebraska at 1-1 in the Big 12 whereas Kansas is 0-1 in conference play.  Vegas odds makers have the Kansas State Wildcats a -2 1/2 point favorite on the road against the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Wildcats were pounded by Nebraska last week 48-13 giving up 241 yards rushing to quarterback Taylor Martinez and 587 total net yards of offense.  Offensively the Wildcats used 3 quarterbacks with Carson Coffman getting the most production completing 14 for 22 for 91 yards a 4th quarter touchdown and an interception as well as rushing 7 times for 45 yards.  Kansas State is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games on the road and the total has gone UNDER in 5 of Kansas State’s last 7 games on the road.  Vegas odds makers have the Kansas State Wildcats +7500 odds to win the 2011 BCS National Championship.

Kansas also took a beating in their last outing losing 55-7 at Baylor ruining new head football coach Turner Gills debut in the Big 12.  Quarterback Jordon Webb had a tough day getting sacked three times, a fumble, and 2 interceptions while completing 16 of 28 for 171 yards and a touchdown.  Webb also ran 8 times for just 8 yards.   Kansas is 4-11 ATS in its last 15 games when playing Kansas State.  Odds makers at SBG Global have the over/under for the total score at 50 1/2 points combined of the Kansas State Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks.
