Vegas vs New Jersey vs Offshore Sportsbooks – Who’s the Best and Why?

Vegas vs New Jersey SportsbooksVegas vs New Jersey vs Offshore Sportsbooks – Who’s the Best and Why? I go by the name of “Donnie Diamonds”(don’t ask why!) and my long time pal, The LEGEND, has asked me to write a piece for the site while everyone starves due to the COVID-19 insanity. Can we get our sports events back, please? Give me a break. Anyway, let’s get on to it and let me tell you who you should be using to place your sports bets if you are a USA citizen. The big three legal options are the sportsbooks in Las Vegas, New Jersey and Offshore. Yes, I know, there are sportsbooks in other states too but clearly the three I’m here to talk about are taking in the most money and have the most players. So, please, spare me your opinions about how great the action is in Iowa, Rhode Island, Deleware and anywhere else that have mickey mouse books. I wouldn’t bet there with your money, okay?

Vegas vs New Jersey vs Offshore Sportsbooks – Who’s the Best and Why?

#1 Vegas, Baby!

Are you kidding me? Of course the clear cut winner is Vegas. The action. The lights. The clubs. The women. The sizzle. The entertainment. The food. The booze. The weather. I wouldn’t live anywhere else. The LEGEND and I could write a New York Times best selling book about the stories we have together running around in this town. Two of the last true wiseguys left and a dying breed. Anyway, Vegas is where you want to be to bet on sports and watch the action. The feeling of betting with cash, having a real ticket in your hand and then going back to the window to collect is 2nd to none. I won’t even use the silly MGM betting app that allows you to bet from anywhere in Nevada from your phone. For what? I love to bet directly at the books. I’m about the action baby!

#2 Offshore Sportsbooks Remain King Online!

Much was made, said and written about the death of offshore sportsbooks when the USA changed the laws and allowed states to have legalized sports betting. Shocker, the pundits were wrong again! Make no mistake, offshore sportsbooks remain king for betting on sports when you can’t get action down in Vegas. Why? The mobile betting apps, bonuses, deposit/withdrawal methods and no limitations on where your IP is currently residing are just a handful off the top of my head. Sure, citizens from a handful of states including Nevada are barred from playing with the #1 offshore sportsbook Bovada, but they are still open to 90 percent of states and those without sportsbooks. There are other sportsbooks like 5Dimes that take players from all 50 states. I bet with 5Dimes or Intertops when my old lady needs me home and I can’t get down to MGM, Wynn or Ceasars to bet in person.

#3 New Jersey, WOOF!

Why? Just, WHY! I wouldn’t bet at FanDuel or DraftKings with my worst enemy’s money! Okay, maybe I’ll hold my nose and wear an oxygen mask and do it, but that’s about it. Seriously, the state is a dump. It stinks! I hate it. The last time I touched down in Atlantic City and walked into a casino I thought some “Paulie the Plumber” deuced in his pants and the casino fumigated it thru the vents. Seriously, my eyes were burning and I had to walk out after 5 minutes. What a dump! The casinos. The boardwalk. The dump they call Newark Airport. The accents. The food. The silly gas stations that make someone pump the gas for you. I hate that state. Just the thought of betting at a New Jersey sportsbook gives me a rash. Save your gas, money and time and bet online with an offshore like Bovada, 5Dimes or Interops unless you can hop a plane to Vegas where the real sportsbooks, sexy women, great food and 24/7 action reside. Trust me.
