There are plenty of great matchups in Week 2 NFL action, but the most anticipated and intriguing matchup has the 1-0 New England Patriots traveling to the Meadowlands in New Jersey to take on their hated rival the 0-1 New York Jets at 4:15 PM EST(televised on CBS). The Patriots easily covered the -4.5 point spread in Week 1 with a 38-24 home win over Concinnati, while the NY Jets laid an egg as a -2 point favorite in Week 1 with a 10-9 loss to Baltimore at home. The Patriots opened up as a -2.5 point favorite this sunday on the road with the total set at over/under 38 points. Another exciting divisional game in the AFC this week has the 1-0 Baltimore Ravens traveling to Cincinnati to take on the 0-1 Bengals. Cincinnati went a perfect 6-0 in AFC North Division games last season including 2-0 versus Baltimore, but the Ravens have opened up as -1 point road favorites with the over/under listed at 40. Week 2 NFL action’s primetime games are a couple of interesting matchups, as the Manning brothers will matchup sunday night when Eli’s 1-0 New York Giants travel to Indianapolis to take on Peyton’s 0-1 Colts. The Colts surprisingly lost 34-24 at Houston in Week 1 and will be looking to get back on track this week when they take the field at 8:15 PM EST(NBC) as a -5.5 point favorite over the Giants. The total for that game is listed at over/under 48 points. On monday night the defending Super Bowl Champion and 1-0 New Orleans Saints will play out west versus the 0-1 San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers were embarassed in Week 1 at Seattle where they were blown out 31-6. The Saints beat Minnesota 14-9 in Week 1 at home and will look to go to 2-0 as a -6 point favorite with the total set at over/under 44.
