Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 17

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 17:  Head football coach Mike Tomlin will lead the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road to division rival Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET to try and clinch the AFC North and the 2nd seed in the AFC playoffs to get a week off.  The Browns enter the game 5-10 and likely head football coach Eric Mangini’s last game with the Browns and the only motivation to knock their rival from the top spot in the AFC North.  The Steelers are 11-4 and don’t want a repeat of last year when a late loss to the Browns knocked them from the playoffs.  Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is 11-1 in his career against Cleveland and looks to revenge last year’s defeat.  “The players, the coaches, everybody’s mentioned it,” center Maurice Pouncey said. “They know what happened last year and we’re trying not to let that happen again. They’re saying we can’t have that again. We know what we want, and it’s right in front of us to get.” “The motivation’s the AFC North and trying to get this win and get a bye,” Roethlisberger said. “We’ve got a lot of motivation. Yeah, last year was a bad loss up there so we’ve got a lot of fighting to do, and we know that.”  The odds makers at BetUS have the Pittsburgh Steelers -6 point favorites on the road against the Cleveland Browns.

The Steelers have won 5 of their last 6 most recently a 27-3 victory over the Carolina Panthers moving them to 9-6 ATS for the season.  Quarterback big Ben completed 22 of 32 passes for 320 yards and a touchdown hitting Mike Wallace with 4 balls for 104 yards and a score.  “Any time in the National Football League you’re getting on a bus to go play a game, mean, that’s a pretty heated rivalry,” Tomlin said. “Not many bus trips in the National Football League. Just from a proximity’s standpoint, it’s unique.”  You gotta love Coach Tomlin!  Vegas odds makers have the Pittsburgh Steelers as +650 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Browns are coming off a 20-10 beat down by the Baltimore Ravens leaving them at just 5-10 ATS for the season.  Quarterback Colt McCoy completed 15 of 29 passes for 149 yards unfortunately for him 3 of them were to Ravens.  The total has gone OVER in 4 of Cleveland’s last 6 games at home.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 37 ½ points combined of the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers.

I predict a Steeler victory on the road!
