New York Giants at Indianapolis Colts 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 2

New York Giants at Indianapolis Colts 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 2:  Quarterback Eli Manning leads his New York Football Giants on the road to Lucas Oil Stadium to take on big brother quarterback Payton Manning and his Indianapolis Colts on Football Night in America Sunday evening at 8:20 PM ET on NBC.  “… Who we are going to play – is the Indianapolis Colts football team,” Giants head football Coach Tom Coughlin said. “And so that is the way that Eli will look at this – and nothing different. We have got to go into their place – a domed stadium – we have all of that to be concerned with as well. So it’s the competitive aspect that comes to the front. And that is where it stays.”   Indianapolis is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games and the Super Bowl losing team often struggle to make the playoffs the following season.  The odds makers at BetUS have the Indianapolis Colts -5 1/2 point favorites at home against the New York Giants.

Indy got run over in its opener at Houston losing 34-24 and giving up 257 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns.  Look for the Giants to provide a big helping of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs to see if head football coach Jim Caldwell has made the proper adjustments to stop the run with safety Bob Sanders out with a torn bicep.  Payton had a big game in the loss going 40 of 57 for 433 yards and 3 touchdowns but the colts could only muster 44 yards on the ground.  Vegas odds makers have the Indianapolis Colts as +1100 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Giants christened the new $1.6 billion dollar stadium they share with the Jets by winning 31-18 over the Carolina panthers with a balanced attack and a stout defense that knocked starting quarterback Matt Moore from the game.  Eli was 20 for 30 for 263 yards and three touchdowns and hitting wide out Hakeem Nicks 4 times for 75 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Bradshaw started in the backfield and has 20 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown while bruiser Jacobs ran the ball 12 times for 44 yards.   The total has gone OVER in 4 of the NY Giants last 5 games on the road.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 48 1/2 points combined of the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts.

I predict another big ground game against the Colts resulting in a road victory for the Giants! Note: Rich Fritz is a Blog Writer on NSAwins.com and not a pro handicapper.
