Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 6

Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 6:  The Miami Dolphins will try to remain undefeated on the road on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET when they travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.  The Packers have the look of a M.A.S.H. unit with injuries all across the board but most importantly a concussion to quarterback Aaron Rodgers and linebacker Clay Matthews.  Rodgers practiced Friday and is cleared to play but Matthews is listed as doubtful with a hamstring strain.  “Having never had a concussion before, it was definitely a learning process to understand how my body feels,” Rodgers said. “Because obviously I’ve been dinged in the head a number of times, everything from in high school seeing the stars and stuff to the different shots you take along the way. I think it was just a great learning process to understand how my body reacts to different situations.”  The odds makers at BetUS have the Green Bay Packers -3 point favorites at home against the Miami Dolphins.

Green Bay is 3-2 and coming off a close 16-13 loss on the road to the Washington Redskins making them 2-3 ATS for the season.  Quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 27 of 46 passes for 293 yards a touchdown and a pick as well as 4 rushes for an additional 40 yards and of course the concussion.  Running back Brandon Jackson continued to excel running for a career high 115 yards on just 10 carries.  The Packers defense wasn’t so good giving up 357 passing yards to quarterback Donovan McNabb.  Vegas odds makers have the Green Bay Packers as +800 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

Miami is coming of a bye but still smarting from two divisional losses to the Jets then Patriots 41-14 both at home.  The Dolphins set an NFL record giving up scores on an interception, run, pass, blocked field goal and kickoff return all in one game.  The aftermath was the firing of special teams coach John Bonamego and working on the deficiencies during the bye week.  “I want my core players to play better on special teams,” head football coach Tony Sparano said. “If we need to put some starters out there, then we will.”  The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Miami’s last 8 games when playing Green Bay.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 43 1/2 points combined of the Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers.
