Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 14

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 14:  Payton Manning will lead the Indianapolis Colts on the road to Nashville to play the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night at 8:20 PM ET on the NFL channel at LP Field.  The Titans are 5-7 4th in the AFC South while the Colts are struggling at 6-6 2nd in the AFC South and needing wins to make the playoffs.  The Colts have lost 3 consecutive games to move a game behind Jacksonville in the South.  “It’s pretty simple. All we have to do is look at what we do at this time of year,” Indianapolis coach Jim Caldwell said. “We have to be able to string four together in order to get that done. I don’t think there’s anything more plain than that.” Injuries have depleted the Colts running game leaving the onus all on Manning’s shoulders and the lack of ground attack has allowed defenses to come after him and he’s responded with more interceptions than usual.  The Colts rushing defense has been suspect so look for the Titans to hand the ball off a lot to last year’s NFL leading rusher Chris Johnson.  The odds makers at BetUS have the Indianapolis Colts -3 point favorites on the road against the Tennessee Titans.

Indy lost its 3rd in a row at home 38-35 to the resurgent Dallas Cowboys to move to 6-6 ATS for the season.  Quarterback Payton Manning completed 36 of 48 passes for 365 yards 2 touchdowns but threw 4 picks.  Wide out Reggie Wayne grabbed 14 balls for 200 yards and a touchdown.  The Colts leading rusher was Javarris James who carried just 6 times for 18 yards but had 2 scores.  Indianapolis is 11-3 SU in its last 14 games when playing Tennessee.  Vegas odds makers have the Indianapolis Colts as +2000 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Titans are coming off a 17-6 loss at home to the division leader Jacksonville Jaguars moving them to 5-7 ATS for the season.  Quarterback Kerry Collins completed 14 of 32 passes for just 169 yards and 2 picks and running back Chris Johnson was held to 13 carries for 53 yards as the Jags defense ruled the day.  Tennessee is 2-5 SU in its last 7 games when playing at home against Indianapolis and the total has gone UNDER in 4 of Tennessee’s last 5 games when playing at home against Indianapolis.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 45 points combined of the Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans.

I predict a Colts victory on the road!
