2020 NFL Draft Betting Odds: When Will CeeDee Lamb & Tua Tagovailoa be Drafted?

2020 NFL Draft Betting Odds: Player Prop Bets to Target

The 2020 NFL Draft is just a week away, and with betting options limited for the foreseeable future, we might as well try to extract as much cash out of this event as we can. There is no shortage of prop bets available for the draft, and I’ll continue to point out some of my favorite values on the board, focusing this time on when and where specific players may be selected.

First Offensive Lineman Drafted

Best Bet: Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia Bulldogs (+1400)

He has the longest odds of any player listed for this prop, but prior to the NFL Scouting Combine, Thomas was widely considered the best offensive tackle prospect in the class. Yes, Tristan Wirfs and Mekhi Becton went out and put on a show in the athletic testing at the aforementioned combine, but Thomas is still the same physical force player who dominated at both tackle spots in the SEC. More importantly, the rumor mill continues to tie Thomas to the New York Giants, and they just happen to own the No. 4 pick in the NFL Draft. If the Giants do make Thomas the No. 4 pick, it almost certainly means he will be the first lineman off the board. At +1400, this might be my favorite prop bet associated with the draft. When Will Tua Tagovailoa Be Drafted

Best Bet: Sixth Overall (+900)

Tagovailoa has been linked to the Miami Dolphins since before last year’s NFL season even began, so it is no surprise to see him favored to go either at No. 5 to Miami or at No. 3, with the idea that the Dolphins trade up to make sure they can grab the lefty from Alabama. However, rumors have started to swirl that the Dolphins may be eyeing Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert instead, in large part because the coronavirus pandemic is preventing teams from having their own medical personnel evaluate Tagovailoa’s injured hip. If he slides past Miami, I think the Chargers will jump on the chance to grab him at No. 6. This scenario is definitely on the table, and the payout would be substantially more than the other options. This is the value bet. Check out NSAwins.com’s 2020 NFL Draft QB Rankings.

When Will Derrick Brown Be Drafted

Best Bet: Under 8.5 Pick (+135)

Brown is favored to be selected later in the draft, and I think that has a lot to do with all the noise tying him to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who own the ninth overall pick and just shipped Calais Campbell. While I do think the Jags will jump on him if he is on the board, I think there’s a good chance he won’t make it that far. The Giants need help on the trenches on both sides of the ball, and it isn’t out of the question that they snag Brown at No. 4. You also have the Carolina Panthers picking at No. 7, and they just lost multiple starters along their defensive front. The Arizona Cardinals are up next at No. 8, and they were downright atrocious on defense in 2019. With three teams as potential landing spots for Brown coming in under pick 8.5, I like this prop. When Will CeeDee Lamb Be Drafted

Best Bet: Over 12.5 Pick (+110)

Prior to the start of free agency, I would have definitely taken the under on this one. The under is actually still the favorite, but after the Arizona Cardinals traded for DeAndre Hopkins in the offseason, they are probably out of the receiver market. This really only leaves the New York Jets at No. 11 and the Oakland Raiders at No. 12 as teams that really need receiving help. Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy is likely to be the first receiver off the board, and given the needs the Jets have on the offensive line and Oakland’s needs on defense, there is certainly no guarantee either team, let alone both, will address the position, especially in one of the deepest receiver drafts in recent memory. I think Lamb slides into the late teens. Take the over. Check out NSAwins.com’s 2020 NFL Draft Wide Receiver Rankings.
