Stephen G. here to post my 2011 NFL Power Rankings before the season kicks off on September 8th. Once the season starts, I’ll rank the teams each week and provide some commentary on each team. Be on the lookout for my free weekly NFL picks as well where I’ll pick all the prime time games plus 4 or 5 others.

HEAVYWEIGHTS
1.Packers 10-6 They made quite the run to hoist the Lombardi last year and I see no reason to move them off the mountain top. Time will tell, but the champs are still the champs, for now.
2.Steelers 12-4 Men of Steel still have a good roster and a winner at QB so they are at the top of the AFC in my mind.
3.Jets 11-5 I’m still waiting for this team to implode but they keep winning and proving me wrong, but I still don’t think they can win it all.
4.Patriots 14-2 Have morphed into regular season bullies, post season gaggers. Until I see them protect Brady, develop a running game and rush the passer when it counts, count me as a non-believer.
5.Ravens 12-4 Not sold on Joe Flatulence to lead them to the promised land.
6.Falcons 13-3 Got exposed by the Packers in the playoffs, can they make the adjustments?
7.Saints 11-5 I like the additions of Sproles & Ingram but the last time I saw their defense, Seattle was running all over them… Seattle!!
8.Eagles 10-6 Dream Team?? Giving Vick 100 mill?? Vick will get pounded behind their crap O-line and he won’t last 16 games, they will be sorry they backed up the Brinks truck to his house….
9.Colts 10-6 They’d better hope Goober Manning doesn’t miss more than a couple of games.
MIDDLEWEIGHTS
10.Bucs 10-6 I like Freeman as a QB, better than most in this league.
11.Chargers 9-7 I’d like to be more bullish on SD, but Norv holds me back…
12.Chiefs 10-6 I might have this team too high, but they did win the division last year…
13.Giants 10-6 Ole Eli is getting worse and worse. Pats fans still can’t believe they lost to this guy in the superbowl… and I suspect a few Giants fans have to watch the DVR to believe it too…
14.Lions 6-10 Up and coming team for sure, but beating NE in a preseason game doesn’t mean you’ve arrived… save the trash-talking for when it counts
15.Bears 11-5 I hate their coach, hate their QB, hate their roster….other than that, I’m on the bandwagon.
16.Cowboys 6-10 Will this be the year Romo and the boys make a playoff run? Nah, they’ll do what they always do….
17.Texans 6-10 Another trendy pick…the last time I saw their act, they were finding ways to blow games. Now, they add Uncle Wade to right the ship? Sure, that ought to be the answer… You won’t see my money on this group.
18.Raiders 8-8 The Raiders stopped being the Raiders a long, long time ago…
19.Rams 7-9 At least QB isn’t one of their problems. Can win the NFL’s weakest division.
20.Vikings 6-10 What is it about Minnesota that they keep bringing in these washed-up QB’s?
21.Cardinals 5-11 Quarterback was their big weakness and Kolb is supposed to be the answer. I’m from Missouri…..show me.
22.Dolphins 7-9 Hey, Tony Sparano…. take off the shades when you’re playing a night game you tool.
LIGHTWEIGHTS
23.Seahawks 7-9 With Petey Carroll running this asylum, can it be too long before they are in the bottom 3 in the rankings?
24.Titans 6-10 Who can I pick on now with Jeff PornStache no longer patrolling the sidelines?
25.Panthers 2-14 They can’t help but improve from last year, especially with Fox gone. But, they’d better hope Cam Newton isn’t another Vince Young.
26.Redskins 6-10 I used to have a lot of respect for Shanahan but I don’t know now…. this team is terrible.
27.Broncos 4-12 On the other hand, I didn’t have much respect for John Fox so I don’t think he’s the answer out in Colorado. Nor Tim Tebow for that matter. Nor John Elway as GM either.
28.Niners 6-10 Another college coach coming into the league, good luck with that.
29.Jaguars 8-8 Del Rio must have some incriminating photos of the owner down there in Jacksonville, that’s all I have to say.
30.Browns 5-11 Never been impressed with the Walrus, and still not.
31.Bills 4-12 Are they still in the league?
32.Bengals 4-12 Wow, what an amateur operation…
