Milwaukee Bucks at Los Angeles Lakers 2010 NBA Preview, Odds, and Predictions

Milwaukee Bucks at Los Angeles Lakers 2010 NBA Preview, Odds, and Predictions:  The Milwaukee Bucks will be playing back to back nights when they continue on the road at the Staples Center against the Los Angeles Lakers at 10:30 PM ET on Tuesday night.  The Bucks enter the game on a 3 game losing streak at 10-16 for 3rd in the Central while the Lakers are 21-7 winning 5 consecutive games largely due to their bench play.  In their recent outing at Toronto the Lakers bench scored 57 points to help the team to victory.  “They’ve been solid this entire trip,” Kobe Bryant said. “They came in and gave us a big boost.”  The Bucks are shorthanded due to injuries to leading scorer Brandon Jennings out 4-6 weeks with a foot injury and Carlos Delfino and Corey Maggette who both are suffering from concussions.  “No one’s going to feel sorry for us,” general manager John Hammond said. “We still have a job to do, that’s win every game that we take floor.”  The odds makers at Bodog have the Los Angeles Lakers a -12 point favorite at home against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Los Angeles Lakers won their last game 120-110 on the road against the Toronto Raptors moving to 14-14 ATS for the season.   Shooting guard Kobe Bryant lead the Lakers in scoring with 20 points pulling down 3 rebounds and dishing 4 dimes in 28 minutes of play.  Andrew Bynum lead the scoring off the bench with 16 points and 7 rebounds and 6 players scored in double figures, three starters and 3 off the bench.  Los Angeles most recently when playing on Tuesday are 8-2, and before playing Miami are 10-0, and after playing Toronto are 7-3.  Vegas odds makers have the Los Angeles Lakers +200 to win the 2010-2011 NBA Championship.

The Bucks 3 game losing streak most recently included a 106-80 at the Portland Trailblazers moving them to 10-15-1 ATS for the season.  Guard-Forward John Salmons lead the Bucks scorers with 23 points and 3 rebounds.  “He’s been very, very durable; it’s unfortunate,” Bucks coach Scott Skiles said regarding Jennings absence. “Injuries are a huge part of pro sports. “We keep thinking at some point we’ll have everybody healthy for a practice. We haven’t had that yet this year. We’re a little bit snake-bit with that, but we need guys to step up and perform.”  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 189 points combined of the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks.

I predict a big win by the Lakers at home!
