Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls Game 2 Expert Picks, Odds and Predictions – NBA Playoffs Betting Preview 5/18/11

Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls Game 2 Expert Picks, Odds and Predictions – NBA Playoffs Betting Preview 5/18/11: King James and the Miami Heat spent an extra day off in Chicago thanks to Oprah’s final show being taped at the United Center with Michael Jordan making an appearance but will be back at the United Center for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night at 8:30 PM ET on TNT Sports. Jordon won’t be suiting up tonight but MVP Derrick Rose will continue to lead the Bulls tenacious defense, rebounding, and hustle plays that won game 1 over the Heat 103-82.

The Bulls made the right moves and plays to pull away for the game one victory. The Heatles struggled, especially their dynamic duo of LeBron and Dwayne Wade who went just 12 of 32 from the field, and big Chris Bosh was not enough to keep them in the game. The Bulls outrebounded the Heat by 12 points and knocked down 3 point shots with much more regularity than usual. I don’t see effort and hustle being a factor in game 2 for the Heat as I expect to see a big push and 48 minutes of consistent play. The odds makers at Bodog have the Chicago Bulls a -2 point favorite at home against the Miami Heat.

The Heat was led by Chris Bosh with a game high 30 points as well as 9 rebounds but his performance was lost in the defeat. Shooting guard Dwayne Wade followed with 18 points just 3 boards and 3 assists all well below his averages and expectations while LeBron who is 7th in the NBA playoffs in scoring with over 25 points per game scored just 15 points to go with 6 boards and 6 dimes. Miami is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Chicago and the total has gone UNDER in 6 of Miami’s last 8 games when playing on the road against Chicago. Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 181 1/2 points combined of the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat.

Rose led the way for the Bulls with 28 points and 6 assists while small forward Luol Deng added 21 points and 7 rebounds as well as playing great defense on LeBron. Big Carlos Boozer added 14 points with 9 rebounds and 2 assists and fellow big Joakim Noah only scored 9 points but pulled down 14 boards and dished 4 dimes as the Bulls controlled the boards. Vegas odds makers have the Chicago Bulls +140 to win the 2010-2011 NBA Championship.

I predict the Bulls win Game 2 and cover the pointspread.
