Celtics vs Cavaliers NBA Series Odds and Predictions – Cavs to Win in 6 Games

Vegas odds for Game 1 of the Boston Celtics vs Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Playoffs series plus the series price odds have now been posted on NSAwins.com and vegas oddsmakers have made the Cleveland Cavaliers the -420 favorite to win the series and the Cavs a -7 point favorite to win Game 1 with the total set at over/under 190.5. This series should be the most exciting series of the 2nd round and maybe of the entire playoffs, as both teams truly dislike each other and tempers are almost definitely going to flare at some point during this series. “We don’t like them, they don’t like us,” Cavaliers guard Mo Williams said. “It’s obvious.” The Celtics are hated throughout the league and by the Cavs for the heavy amount of trash talking and borderline dirty play that they have used in the “Big 3” era to intimadate their opponents and take oppossing players with weak mental makeups out of their game. Cleveland, meanwhile, is known as one of the biggest showboating teams in the league with the Celtics’ players despising how Cleveland dances on the court and on the sidelines when they are winning games. “It’s going to be a good heavyweight fight,” Boston’s Paul Pierce said. The Celtics and Cavs, who played a brutal, physical playoff series won by Boston in seven games two years ago, have been pounding each other for awhile. A few years ago, Pierce was seen spitting in the direction of Cleveland’s bench during a preseason game. Last October, the teams were involved in a minor tussle during an exhibition game in Columbus, Ohio, when Mo Williams threw an elbow in retaliation after being tossed to the floor by Celtics forward Shelden Williams. Lebron James’ mom, Gloria, even got involved once by getting into it with Pierce, yelling at him after he locked up her baby boy on a fastbreak dunk during the 2008 playoffs. Tempers rose during the team’s last meeting on April 4. Getting embarassed by 22 points in the third quarter, Cleveland fought back before losing 117-113 in a contest that had six technical fouls, the ejection of Cavs coach Mike Brown and some intense, X-rated woofing between James and Boston’s Kevin Garnett and Tony Allen. “They do a lot of talking,” James said. “At some point in time they back it up, too. We’re looking forward to it. We’re not much of a talking group, but we’re not going to back down from anybody. It’s going to be a really fun, really physical series.” NSAwins.com’s expert handicapper Lou Panelli likes the Cleveland Cavaliers to win a tough, hard fought series in 6 games and beat the Boston Celtics to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
