The Cavaliers easily won Game 1 on Sunday by a score of 113-100 and covered the -12 point spread and came back Tuesday night to win Game 2 at home by a score of 99-91 as the Celtics covered on the spread getting +11 points. The Celtics have prevented both games from getting completely out of hand but they still have not found an answer for Lebron James and Kyrie Irving. James scored 30 points, pulled down 9 rebounds and dished off 77 assists in Game 2 while Irving poured in 26 points to go with 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Those performances in Game 2 came on the heels of outstanding Game 1 performances from both all stars as Irving had 30 points in Game 1 while James added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
The Celtics should get a much needed boost of confidence and energy from their home crown on Thursday night. The Chicago Bulls look to extended their 2-0 series lead over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night and get one step closer to the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Bucks have simply had no answer for the superb play of Bulls guard Jimmy Butler in this series as he has gone off for 25 points in Game 1 and 31 points in Game 2 to help the Bulls take a commanding lead in this series.
The Bucks have really struggled shooting the ball in this series due to the Bulls’ stifling defense. The Bucks only shot the ball at a 39.3 percent clip in Game 1 and then came back in Game 2 and shot even worse at a 35.6 percent clip. The Bulls have now won 5 of the 6 meetings in the regular season and playoffs so far against the Bucks and have won those 5 games by at least 8 points. We simply see no reason to believe the Bucks can get the job done in Game 3 despite having the luxury of playing in front of their home crowd.
