The Yankees will be celebrating their 1st title in the new Yankee Stadium as the old Yankee Stadium is now nothing more than rubble. The right-field stands are the only part of the old yard still erect and awaiting demolition, as they overlook the grounds where the first 26 World Series championships were celebrated dating back to 1923. “The guys were like, `Well, the stadium’s gone,”’ Pettitte said. “It’s gone, and it’s not going back up.
