2020 Belmont Stakes Odds – Charlatan the 3/1 Favorite in the 1st Leg of the Triple Crown
The early 2020 Belmont Stakes Odds at Belmont Park are out for Saturday, June 20th. The odds makers at Bovada Racebook have the odds out to bet on and Charlatan is posted as the 3/1 favorite. This year’s Belmont will now be the first leg of the Triple Crown due to the COVID-19 pandemic pushing the Kentucky Derby to September and the Preakness Stakes to October. The Belmont will be run at just 1 1/8 miles(9 furlongs) instead of the traditional 1 1/2 miles.
Charlatan will be looking to remain undefeated when he breaks from the gate at Belmont Park. The 3-year-old colt is a perfect 3-0-0 in his three career starts with all of them coming this year after not racing as a 2-year-old. Charlatan won the GRADE 1 Arkansas Derby DIVISION ONE in his last outing on May 2, 2020 at Oaklawn Park. Jockey Martin Garcia has gotten the mount on Charlatan for all three of his wins. Charlatan is trained by Bob Baffert and the Bluegrass bred colts is the son of Speightstown.
