2009 NFL Record: 0-0
NOTE: ALL Records thru 9/9/09

College Football Picks for Saturday, September 12, 2009

East Carolina + 6.5 – I really think West Virginia is weak at the head coach position. He has lost most of his weapons and East Carolina can easily play with the home team here. I’ll grab the 6.5 and run.

South Carolina/Georgia UNDER 38.5 – 2 struggling offenses, 2 great defenses. I don’t see that changing saturday. This will be a brawl.

Oregon – 12.5 – Oregon must salvage their season. The Boise game seems to be behind them. They are going to want to make a big statement in home opener. Purdue has no defense, and although oregon’s defense isn’t stellar, I think they can stop purdue. I’ll give the points.

W. Mich/Indiana UNDER 52 – Teams combined for 27 pts last week. I don’t see them running wild in one weak, even though the defenses aren’t that good. They have to prove they can score 52 to me. I highly doubt it.

NFL Picks for Sunday, September 13, 2009

NY Jets + 5 – I think people are overlooking the Jets this year. They got rid of the cancer at QB. Sanchez looks good. They have a great running game with the o-line and Thomas and will pound with the run. Sanchez just has to be smart. Their defense is very fast and very physical. New coach means new attitude. Houston is an average team til they prove otherwise. Take the points.

Detroit/NO UNDER 49.5 – I know New Orleans has a great offense, but remember, this is week 1. I think the Detroit D can hold them to a reasonable total. I don’t think Detroit could score with no defense on the field. They will try and slow game down. Too many points for me.

San Fran + 6.5 – Another team flying under the radar. Finished strong last year. Tough D and can run the ball. Hill is not a bad QB. Team has taken on Singletary’s personality. Tough, disciplined and hungry. Arizona had horrible pre-season and i don’t think they are half the team they were last year. I love those points.

So good luck. There are 7 to look at. Let’s play the games!!!
