Week 6 College Football Top 25 AP Poll Released – Oklahoma Drops From #8 to #19

NSAwins.com has posted the College Football Top 25 AP Poll for Week 6 of the 2009 NCAA Football season and the top 4 teams remain the same, as #1 Florida, #2 Texas, #3 Alabama, and #4 LSU maintain their top positions. Virginia Tech enters the Top 5 of the poll for the first time this season at #5 after beating Duke 34-26 this past saturday to run it’s record to 4-1 overall. Last week’s #5 team Boise St dropped to #6 in this week’s poll followed by #7 USC, #8 Cincinnati, #9 Ohio St, and #10 TCU. The poll welcomes four new teams into this week’s rankings, as undefeated 4-0 Auburn enters at #17, while #23 South Florida, #24 Missouri and #25 South Carolina all enter the poll for the first time this season. Oklahoma’s surprising 21-20 loss at Miami-Fl dropped the Sooners from #8 to #19, while the win moved the Canes up from #17 to #11.
