USF Bulls at Cincinnati Bearcats 2010 NCAAF Week 8 Odds, Preview, Predictions

USF Bulls at Cincinnati Bearcats 2010 NCAAF Week 8 Odds, Preview, and Predictions:  Head football coach Skip Holtz will lead the University of South Florida Bulls on its third Big East game to Nippert Stadium on Friday night at 8:00 PM ET to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats on ESPN.  The Bulls are struggling offensively converting 3rd downs at just over 25% 117th in the FBS.  “What we’ve got to do is we have to find a way to move the ball consistently and put it in the end zone,” Coach Holtz said, perhaps stating the obvious just a bit. “The biggest problem on offense right now is our third downs. We are not very consistent on third downs. We’re 1-of-11 on Thursday, and if you can’t convert on third downs, you can’t say on the field to keep drives alive. “We had zero big plays of 20 yards or more, so right now as an offense we’re not consistent enough to turn and move the chains, but yet we’re not making any huge chunks of yardage to turn field position or put points on the board.”  Vegas odds makers have the Cincinnati Bearcats a -7 1/2 point favorite at home against the USF Bulls.

The Bearcats are 3-3 but 1-0 and tied for first in the Big East after a 35-27 win on the road at the Louisville Cardinals.  Quarterback Zack Collaros completed 18 of 28 passes for 275 yards 5 touchdowns and 2 picks hitting wide receiver Armon Binns 8 times for 175 yards and three touchdowns including a 62 yarder that put the Bearcats up for good.  Running back Isaiah Pead also had a big day carrying the ball 21 times for 149 yards.  Cincinnati is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games when playing South Florida and 3-2 ATS so far this season.  Vegas odds makers have the Cincinnati Bearcats N/A odds to win the 2011 BCS National Championship.

The Bulls are coming off a loss on the road to the No. 21 West Virginia Mountaineers 20-6 falling to 3-3 and 1-4 ATS for the season.  Quarterback B.J. Daniels struggled going 20 for 30 for only 119 yards and 3 interceptions at the tough Mountaineer field.  The total has gone OVER in 4 of South Florida’s last 6 games on the road.  Odds makers at SBG Global have the over/under for the total score at 48 points combined of the USF Bulls and Cincinnati Bearcats.

I predict a Bearcat win and cover at home.  Sorry Skip! Note: Rich Fritz is a Blog Writer on NSAwins.com and not a pro handicapper. For expert College Football Predictions against the vegas spreads please visit the NSAwins.com homepage for top predictions today from the National Sports Advisors.
