UCF Knights at Houston Cougars 2010 NCAAF Week 10 Odds, Preview, and Predictions: The University of Central Florida Knights will head on the road to play Conference USA opponent the Houston Cougars led by head football coach Kevin Sumlin in what could be a preview of the Conference USA title game on Friday night at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN2.   UCF comes in at 6-2, 4-0 1st in the Conference USA East while Houston is 5-3, 4-1 1st in the Conference USA West and the winner has the inside track to host the Conference title game that goes to the division winner with a better record.  “We’re 4-0 in the conference, we have a streak of wins, and I believe we have a special season in the making,” senior wide receiver Brian Watters told the Knights Insider. “We’ve just got to keep working hard and everything will fall into place.” “We’re playing a little bit better. We’re improving, and this time of year, that’s important, based on where we were four weeks ago.” — Houston head coach Kevin Sumlin to the Houston Press sports blog.  Vegas odds makers have the UCF Knights a -2 point favorite on the road against the Houston Cougars.

The Knights are on a 4 game winning streak and most recently beat the East Carolina Pirates in a tough divisional matchup 49-35 to remain undefeated in conference play.  Quarterback Jeff Godfrey completed 8 of 12 passes for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns while also running 8 times for an additional 43 yards.  The workhorse for the game was running back Ronnie Weaver who carried the ball 30 times for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns while Latavius Murray also chipped in for 7 carries for 47 yards and 3 TDs.  Odds Maker Bodog has the odds at 7/4 that the first scoring play of the game will be a UCF touchdown.

The Cougars are coming off a big 56-17 rout of the Memphis Tigers.  True freshman quarterback David Piland completed 20 of 23 passes for 292 yards and 5 touchdowns hitting receiver Patrick Edwards 4 times for 78 yards and 2 scores.  Running back Michael Hayes rushed 20 times for 123 yards and a touchdown while also catching 2 passes for 36 yards and another TD.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 62 points combined of the UCF Knights and Houston Cougars.
