Oklahoma Sooners at Missouri Tigers 2010 NCAAF Week 8 Odds, Preview, Predictions

Oklahoma Sooners at Missouri Tigers 2010 NCAAF Week 8 Odds, Preview, and Predictions: Head Football Coach Bob Stoops takes his BCS No. 1 (Power Top 25 No. 4) on the road to play the No. 10 Missouri Tigers on Saturday night at 8:00 PM ET at Memorial Stadium on ABC.  Missouri and Oklahoma are both undefeated but the Tigers have flown under the radar and not gotten the exposure that the Sooners have through the press and polls.  “We’re going up to play a 6-0 team at Missouri, and they’re not handing anything out right now,” Stoops said regarding their ranking. “It means absolutely nothing.”  “Our players are very well aware of No. 1, how good Oklahoma is, and No. 2, how it’s such a big game,” Missouri head football coach Gary Pinkel said.  Coach speak is so much fun.  Missouri is in 1st place in the Big 12 North and Oklahoma is in 1st place in the Big 12 South so this could be a rematch of the Big 12 Championship game.  Vegas odds makers have the Oklahoma Sooners a -3 point favorite on the road against the Missouri Tigers.

The Sooners are coming off a 52-0 drubbing of Iowa State at home.  Quarterback Landry Jones was an amazing 30 for 34 passes for 334 yards and 3 touchdowns with no picks hitting wide receiver Ryan Broyles 15 times for 182 yards and a 39 yard touchdown.  Running back DeMarco Murray carried the ball 20 times for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Oklahoma is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing on the road against Missouri and 3-3 ATS so far this season.  Vegas odds makers have the Oklahoma Sooners +350 odds to win the 2011 BCS National Championship.

The Tigers won their last outing on the road 30-9 against Texas A&M.  Quarterback Blaine Gabbert completed 31 of 47 passes for 361 yards and 3 touchdowns finding Wes Kemp open 10 times for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns.   Wide out T.J. Moe also caught 6 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown.  “I’m right there with Coach,” defensive end Aldon Smith said. “Since I’ve been here, I haven’t seen Oklahoma been beat by Missouri. I think we beat them in basketball. … Hopefully, we can do it in football.”  Missouri is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Oklahoma, 3-2 ATS this season and the total has gone UNDER in 5 of Oklahoma’s last 6 games on the road.  Odds makers at Diamond have the over/under for the total score at 53 points combined of the Oklahoma Sooners and Missouri Tigers.

I predict a Missouri upset win at home. Note: Rich Fritz is a Blog Writer on NSAwins.com and not a pro handicapper. For expert College Football Predictions against the vegas spreads please visit the NSAwins.com homepage for top predictions today from the National Sports Advisors.
