NSAwins FBS College Football Power Top 25 Week 8 Rankings

National Sports Advisors FBS College Football Power Top 25 Week 8 Rankings:   It was certainly upset Saturday in the FBS this weekend as ranked teams were dropping like flies starting with then No. Ohio State losing 31-18 at Wisconsin, then No. 5 Nebraska Cornhuskers lost again to the Texas Longhorns at home 20-13 and last week’s Power Top 25 No. 12, 13, 14, and 15 all lost as well.  That would be sequentially No. 12 Nevada losing to Hawaii, No. 13 South Carolina falling to Kentucky, No. 14 Florida losing to Mississippi State, and No. 15 Arkansas dropping to Auburn and to wrap up the stumbles the No. 17 Michigan Wolverines beat themselves at home against Iowa while No. 25 Air Force was only in the poll as long as OSU was No. 1, a week!  On a brighter note, Michigan State remained undefeated and moves up with a lead and good schedule to win the Big Ten as they don’t play Ohio State, Oklahoma has the inside track on the Big 12, and Oregon on the Pac 10 as they all are unbeaten.  Vegas odds makers have the Oregon Ducks +480 odds to win the 2011 BCS National Championship.

After reviewing this week’s games, the team’s performances, strength of opponent and outcomes here is this week FBS College Football Power Top 25 Week 8 Rankings:

Climbing back into the Poll are the Texas Longhorns after upsetting Nebraska on the road, and the Virginia Tech Hokies who are undefeated in the ACC after losing their first two games but have got the swagger back.  No. 2 Boise State should be elated because in increases their points with quality wins and will help them get to the top if a few other teams continue to fall.

This week’s big showdown is in the SEC where two undefeated teams collide when the No. 6 LSU Tigers go on the road to play the No. 7 Auburn Tigers for SEC West supremacy.   The winner will be the leader in the Western Division and have the inside track to the SEC Championship game.  Vegas odds makers have the Auburn Tigers a -6 point favorite at home against the  LSU Tigers.
