Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Navy Midshipmen 2010 NCAAF Week 8 Odds, Preview, and Predictions:  First year head football coach Brian Kelly has his Notre Dame Fighting Irish heading to the Big Apple (or just across the bridge from it) on Saturday at 12:00 Noon ET to play the Navy Midshipmen in the new Meadowlands Stadium home of the New York Jets and Giants.  The Midshipmen have been giving the Irish fits the last few years and after winning their last three games Coach Kelly hopes the confidence will give them the ability to make it four in a row.  Navy however is on a two game winning streak themselves and hope to sink the Irish on Saturday.

The Irish lead the series 71-11-1 and this is the 84 consecutive year the teams have met and Notre Dame once won 43 in a row, but recently the Midshipman have won 2 of the last 3.  “The energy is high, the morale is good, as you would expect after a couple of wins. We now the challenge of going against a very good football team, in Navy.”  Coach Brian Kelly said about his team, which has a three-game winning streak going into this week’s game against Navy.  Vegas odds makers have the Notre Dame Fighting Irish s a -7 point favorite on the road against the Navy Midshipmen.
