Ravens still Crying… Okay we get it, you think you got jobbed… I guess we’re to think only the Ravens get bad calls. I’ve got news for you, most roughing-the-passer calls are weak, including the one on Mike Wright against Flacco and the one against Wilfork tackling Edwards of the Bills in week 1. If bitching about it somehow justifies your losing, then knock yourselves out, it’s just a loser’s mentality. The coach spending so much time and energy on it only gives the players another excuse when they lose, something they do a lot against New England and Pittsburgh.
Women Sports Reporters- Call me a male chauvinist pig if you’d like, but I have no use for any women sports reporters. Sure some of them are knowlegable, but most are just eye candy for a male-dominated audience. Cover women sports if you must, but stay the hell out of men’s sports. Just one time, I’d like to see a male athlete say “Hey toots, go make me a sandwich, will ya!”
College Football– I don’t know what it is but I just can’t get into college football. Every year I start out watching the big matchups in the first few weeks, but by week 4 or 5, I start getting bored to tears. Maybe it’s because I grew up in the Northeast, but really it’s because it can’t hold a candle to the NFL.
Bobby Bowden Saga – If FSU’s trustees or the college president want to can him, then can his ass. Quit dicking around in the press or have a “coach-in-waiting” and trying to give the guy obvious hints. If I was a booster, I’d tell the school I wasn’t giving another dime until they get someone else.
Josh McDaniels – I wonder how many yahoo Denver fans want to can McDaniels now? Their schedule starts to get tougher, but give me McDaniels over Norv Turner any day of the week! Wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see the Donkeys win that division.
Tom Cable Situation- I’m sure the players and player’s union are watching this very closely to see if Sheriff Goodell (aka The Badass) is going to suspend Cable once he gets convicted for sucker punching his assistant and breaking his jaw. Goodell talks tough, but lets see what happens here. So far, it seems he wants to sweep it under the rug.
What Happened to Tennessee?– I know each year is different, but how does a 13-3 team go to 0-4 so quickly? I guess Jeff Fisher isn’t such a genius after all… Maybe, just maybe Jim Schwartz was the genius down there…
