Early College Football Odds for Week 1 Now Posted

NSAwins.com has posted the early College Football Odds for week 1 of the 2009 season. The 2009 College Football season kicks off on Thursday, September 3, 2009 and there are some good games on the slate. Steve Spurrier’s South Carolina Gamecocks are +3 underdogs at North Carolina State, which is scheduled to air on ESPN at 7PM EST. Spurrier will begin his 6th season as head coach of the Gamecocks and has 13 starters(6 offense, 7 defense) back from the 2008 team that finished at 7-6. Spurrier is just 28-22 overall and 15-17 in SEC play in his 5 years thus far at South Carolina, but this could be a breakout year for him. Another good game on opening night is Oregon @ Boise St at 10:15 PM EST on ESPN. The Broncos are listed as early -6 favorites and are ranked #16 in this year’s Preseason USA Today College Football Poll. Big things are expected again this season from Chris Peterson’s Broncos, as last year’s outfit went 12-1 overall and 12 starters(6 on offense, 6 on defense) return this season. The opening weekend concludes on Monday, September 7th with the annual Miami-Fl vs Florida St showdown. This season’s game takes place in Tallahassee at 8PM EST on ESPN and is a big game for the ACC Championship hopes of both clubs. Florida St is listed as the early -4.5 favorite with the total set at 48.5. Legendary FSU head coach Bobby Bowden has come under fire in recent years for FSU’s off the field problems and it’s on field lackluster record, but the cupboard appears to be restocked in 2009. FSU finished 9-4 overall last season and won it’s 1st bowl game since 2004. The entire offensive line returns in 2009, as does starting QB Christian Ponder from an offensive unit that tied for tops in total yardage in the ACC last season. There are some very interesting and fun games to watch and bet on for NCAA Football’s opening week!
