2015 College Football Picks & Predictions – PAC 12 Football Free Picks Week 3

Saturday, September 26th, 2015

Washington Huskies +3 over California Bears – Frankly, this line is a bad line. The 3-0 Cal Bears have no business laying -3 points on the road against a Washington Huskies team that destroyed them 31-7 on the road last year and have a defense more than capable of slowing down the high flying Cal Bears offense. Cal is 3-0 but were lucky to escape Austin last week with a 45-44 win over Texas in a game that they allowed 650 yards defensively to a poor Texas offense. Cal is 3-0 but their defense is weak sister and Washington’s defense has only allowed 703 yards total on defense in it’s first three games combined. Look for Washington to win outright behind their defense on Saturday. Take the points.

USC Trojans -5.5 over Arizona State Sun Devils – The USC Trojans enter 2-1 overall after losing their PAC 12 opener last week at home to Stanford 41-31. The high flying USC offense and quarterback Cody Kessler were held in check to just 427 total yards after putting up 737 and 509 total yards in their first two games. Arizona State is coming off of a lackluster 34-10 win over New Mexico at home as they failed to cover the spread for the 3rd time this season as they are now 0-3 ATS in 2015. USC lost last year at home to Arizona State 38-34 and they’ll be seeking revenge as they haven’t beaten Arizona State since 2012. Lay the points with USC as we look for Kessler and the Trojans offense to have a big game against a mediocre ASU defense.

Arizona Wildcats +3 over UCLA Bruins – This should be a fantastic game as this is will be a close battle throughout. Both teams come in 3-0 overall and look to be PAC 12 Title contenders. The Bruins are coming off of a solid 24-23 win over BYU at home that was a lot closer than the spread they were favored by of -16.5 points. The Bruins have been stout defensively so far this season and solid offensively on the ground but their passing game has been mediocre at best. Meanwhile, Arizona is coming off of a 77-13 blowout win over Northern Arizona in which they racked up a ridiculous 792 total yards offensively. Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon should be the difference in this game in our opinion as the sophomore is outstanding. He has thrown for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns against zero interceptions so far. Solomon should be a Heisman Trophy top contender after he leads the Wildcats to a win Saturday over the Bruins.
