2011 Pac 12 Football Predictions, Odds and Free Picks – Odds to Win 2011 Pac 12 Football Championship

2011 Pac 12 Football Odds, Free Picks and Expert Predictions – Pac 12 Championship Vegas Odds and Vegas Betting Lines: Vegas odds to win the 2011 Pac 12 Conference College Football Championship are now out and updated on NSAwins.com and vegas linemakers have made the Oregon Ducks the +125 favorite to win the 2011 Pac 12 College Football Conference Championship with Oregon the current +125 favorite to capture the Pac 12 North Division and the Utah Utes listed as a +175 favorite to win to the Pac 12 South Division.

The PAC-10 will undergo a serious overhaul in 2011-12 as the addition of Utah and Colorado will transform the conference into the PAC-12. The conference will also be split into two divisions for the first time with the winners of the North and South meeting in a conference title game at the end of the regular season.

As a whole, the conference figures to provide plenty of big plays on the offensive side of the ball. Big name quarterbacks will ensure that the pass-happy West Coast style the PAC-10 was known for will remain intact in the newly formed PAC-12.

The Favorites – 2011 Pac 12 Football Odds, Predictions and Preview

Last year, the Oregon Ducks made it all the way to the national title game before falling late to Auburn.  With quarterback Darron Thomas and running back LaMichael James back in 2011-12, the Ducks could make a repeat appearance in the title game. After all Thomas and James are both Heisman candidates, and they helped Orgeon lead the nation in both scoring and total yardage one year ago. The defense is questionable yet again, but head coach Chip Kelly’s innovative offense can more than overcome the defensive inefficiencies. The Ducks will have to get by LSU and Stanford, but this team has a shot at a national title.

At the end of the 2010-11 season, no team was playing better than the Stanford. With by Heisman favorite back under center, the Cardinal have a chance to build on their Orange Bowl victory from a year ago. Some pieces need to be replaced on the offensive line and at the skill positions, but Luck is a once-in-a-decade talent that can make everyone around him better. Six starters are back for a defense that led the conference scoring last season. If the Cardinal can by Oregon – something they couldn’t do last season – Luck and company should be playing in the PAC-12 title game and the BCS title game.

Potential Sleepers – 2011 Pac 12 Football Odds, Predictions and Preview

Head coach Mike Stoops has steadily been improving the talent for Arizona, but the Wildcats have yet to take the next step. With quarterback Nick Foles and a plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball returning in 2011-12, there is a chance that this could be the year. On the defensive end, the Wildcats are stout up front, but the secondary does have a few injuries to deal with in the secondary. The determining factor for Stoops and company is going to be how they handle their tough early season schedule and whether or not a young offensive line can gel quickly. Oklahoma State, Stanford, Oregon and USC are all waiting.

The Arizona State Sun Devils will have to break in a new quarterback in 2011-12, but Dennis Erickson’s bunch is otherwise loaded. A stacked offensive line should help new QB Brock Osweiler and a group of solid running backs. The receiving core is above average, even with the loss of T.J. Simpson this spring to an ACL tear. On defense, linebacker Vontaze Burfict leads a unit that led the conference in rush defense one year ago. The Sun Devils have a good chance to win the PAC-12 South Division this year.

Team to Avoid – 2011 Pac 12 Football Odds, Predictions and Preview

Quarterback Matt Barkley gives the USC Trojans one of the best signal callers in the conference, and he has plenty of weapons around him at the skill positions. That being said, there is a big reason why the Trojans won’t make much noise this year, and it isn’t the questionable defense. NCAA penalties will prevent USC from playing in the postseason, which means no PAC-12 title game or bowl game, even if they do end up being the best team in the South Division.
