2016 BIG 12 Tournament Odds, Free Picks & Predictions: Top 3 Favorites

Kansas Jayhawks(27-4 overall, 15-3 BIG 12) – Head coach Bill Self has another legit National Championship contender on his hands as the Jayhawks are regarded by many as the favorite to cut down the nets in April at Final Four. Kansas in great position to be a #1 seed in the 2016 March Madness Bracket but can secure the #1 overall seed for certain if it can it’s 10th BIG 12 Tournament Championship and 1st since 2013. Kansas is a remarkable 14-3 versus RPI Top 50 teams but lacks a true marquee win in non-conference play that gives some pause to people who think Kansas is the best overall team in the nation.

West Virginia Mountaineers(24-7, 13-5 BIG 12) – The West Virginia Mountaineers enter the 2016 BIG 12 Tournament as the 9th ranked team in the nation and 10th in the RPI Index. Head coach Bob Huggins has a team he feels can make a run at the Final Four and we see no reason to argue with him. West Virginia is just 5-6 versus RPI Top 25 teams but did beat Kansas and is plenty battle tested. West Virginia has never won the BIG 12 Tournament but this is the best team they’ve had going into it and at +300 odds present some decent value for bettors willing to back them.

Oklahoma Sooners(24-6, 12-6 BIG 12) – Head coach Lon Kruger leads a talented Oklahoma Sooners team into the BIG 12 Tournament as the #3 seed and looking to it’s 4th BIG 12 Tournament Championship in school history and first since winning it in back-to-back-to-back years 2001-2003. The Sooners are ranked 6th in the country in the AP poll and 5th in the RPI Index and have an excellent opportunity to earn a #1 seed in the 2016 NCAA Tournament if it can win this BIG 12 Tournament. The Sooners have +300 odds to win this tournament and we think they have the goods to get it done and get us the money.
