2015 U.S. Open Odds, Predictions & Free Picks – Rory McIlroy 7/1 Favorite at 115th U.S. Open: The odds to win the 2015 U.S. Open have been released at Bovada Sportsbook and the favorite to win this year is Rory McIlroy at 7/1 odds. The 2015 U.S. Open gets underway with first round action on Thursday, June 18th from the Chambers Bay course in University Place, Washington. This year marks the 115th U.S. Open in history and will be the first U.S. Open to be played in the state of Washington.

The 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay will be played on a par 72 course that stretches over 7,585 yards. The field will consist of 156 professional players from the PGA Tour, European Tour and Japan Golf Tour. The U.S. Open is the second major golf tournament on the official schedule for the PGA Tour and European Tour. The tournament is put on by the United States Golf Association and is annually held in June with the final round set for Father’s Day.

The U.S. Open has always been played at various courses and is known for it’s very tight scoring. The winner of the U.S. Open is usually at or near even par with the winner very rarely ever blowing the course away with a strong under par finish. In fact, only two PGA pros have ever posted a winning score in the double digits under par since the tournament began back in 1895. Rory McIlroy won the U.S. Open in 2011 with a -16 under par at the Congressional Country Club, Blue Course in Bethesda, Maryland, while Tiger Woods posted a -12 under par to win in 2000 at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California.

The winner of the U.S. Open last year was Germany’s Martin Kaymer. Kaymer posted a -9 under par winning score to win at Pinehurst Resort, Course No. 2 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Kaymer is listed at long shot 40/1 odds to repeat as champion this week at Bovada Sportsbook.
