McNabb Trade a Heist for the Redskins – Donovan McNabb vs Kevin Kolb NFL Prop Betting Odds

Unless Philadelphia Eagles management and ownership know something that I do not, than they are going to regret this past sunday’s decision to trade starting quarterback Donovan McNabb to a division rival in desperate need of an upgrade at quarterback, the Washington Redskins. Seriously, what the hell was Philadelphia thinking giving a division rival a pro bowl caliber quarterback for a 2nd rd pick(#37 overall) and a 3rd or 4th round pick next season? It just makes no sense. If they were scared off from trading McNabb to the Oakland Raiders or Buffalo Bills because of rumors that they were told by sources close to Donovan that he would retire before he played for either one of those two teams, than shame on them. If he retired than so what? You got the guy you decided you no longer wanted off of your team and there wasn’t anything you could do to get anything in return. Ideal? No. However, there was only one thing you could have done worse. And that’s trade him to a division rival! The roll of the dice that the Eagles are taking in giving new Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan a QB he can build around for the next 2-3 years while the Eagles are forced to play their former franchise QB twice a year and hope that 4th year QB Kevin Kolb can replace McNabb and play at a pro bowl level in Philadelphia is not good business. Pro bowl caliber quarterbacks are a steal for any team that only has to surrender a 2nd and 3rd or 4th round draft pick. It’s a flat out heist when you get the pro bowl caliber QB for that little from a division rival! The Redskins got the better end of this trade and it’s not even close.
