NSAwins.com’s expert NFL handicapper Sonny LaFouchi(aka The Legend) has made his expert NFL picks for the 2015 season and has made his official NFC West Division predictions below.

2015 NFC West Division Predictions and Odds to Win

1. Seattle Seahawks(-225 odds to win NFC West at Bovada) – Quarterback Russell Wilson was 1 yard away from winning back-to-back Super Bowls and further bolstering the argument from his fans that he just might be the best quarterback in the game. Please. Good ol’ Russell couldn’t get the job done and flat out choked by tossing an inexcusable interception from the 1 yard line and turning his head coach Pete Carroll into the “goat” in the process. Make no mistake, Seattle should have won the Super Bowl and should be heading into this season talking about an unprecedented “three-peat”. Anyway, that was last year and this is now. Seattle brings another supremely talented roster into the 2015 season headlined by the best defense in the NFL along with an offense that features Wilson, running back Marshawn Lynch and newly acquired tight end Jimmy Graham who they traded with New Orleans to get. The Seahawks should easily win the NFC West and make another deep run into the postseason if they live up to their potential and don’t fall victim from a Super Bowl loss hangover. We don’t see it happening. Expect another big year for the cockiest and most arrogant team in football. 2015 Projected Record for Seattle Seahawks: 12-4

2. Arizona Cardinals(+400 odds to win NFC West at Bovada) – Head coach Bruce Arians is simply one of the top coaches in the business in our opinion and has done a fantastic job in his two seasons so far in Arizona. The Cardinals have won 10 and 11 games in his first two seasons and we see no reason to believe he won’t lead Arizona to another double digit win season this year. The Cardinals get their starting quarterback Carson Palmer back from another knee injury that sidelined him for the second half and playoffs last season. Palmer is one of the most solid quarterbacks in the game when he’s healthy but no one knows as of yet how he’ll respond this season from another scary injury last year. Palmer will have plenty of help offensively with wideout Larry Fitegerald and running back Andre Ellington plus the brilliant offensive minds of both Arians and offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin. Defensively, the Cards were just 24th in total defense in the NFL last season and suffered some big losses in the offseason with defensive coordinator Todd Bowlers going to the Jets to be head coach and cornerback Antonio Cromartie, defensive end Darnell Dockett and nose tackle Dan Williams all leaving via free agency. Inside linebacker Larry Foote also retired. Having said all that, we have far too much respect for Arians as a head coach to believe Arizona won’t figure it out and somehow, someway get back to double digits in wins and back in the postseason. 2015 Projected Record for Arizona Cardinals: 10-6

3. St Louis Rams(+800 odds to win NFC West at Bovada) – As much respect as we have for Bruce Arians as a head coach, we have the opposite view of Jeff Fisher. Seriously, is there a more overrated head coach in sports than this guy? He gets talked about by the national media as if he’s an elite coach and for what? Please. He’s been in St Louis 3 seasons already and he won 7, 7 and 6 games in that order for his first three years in charge. Sick of the hype already with this guy. The Rams traded their starting quarterback Sam Bradford to Philadelphia for their starting quarterback last year Nick Foles. That’s a was at best. The good news for Rams fans is Fisher used his first rd pick on running back Todd Gurley out of Georgia and that was a great pick. Gurley has the talent to be a flat out stud and if he lives up to his potential the Rams could finally have an above average offense instead of the dismal 28th rated unit they had last year. Defensively, the Rams were 17th in total defense last season and brought in a couple talented free agents in defensive tackle Nick Fairley and linebacker Akeem Ayers. However, the Rams didn’t draft a defensive player in the NFL draft until the 7th round so it’s hard to see the defense being much better than it was last year. 2015 Projected Record for St Louis Rams: 8-8

4. San Francisco 49ers(+800 odds to win NFC West at Bovada) – The 49ers had just about the worst offseason any team could possible have. Seriously. Not only did they lose their head coach John Harbaugh to the University of Michigan, but the 49ers also lost a number of talented players due to retirement and free agency. Linebackers Chris Borland and Patrick Willis both retired unexpectedly, while running back Frank Gore, wideout Michael Crabtree, cornerback Chris Culliver, cornerback Perrish Cox, guard Mike Iupati and defensive end Ray McDonald all left via free agency. The 49ers did stop the bleeding a little by adding running back Reggie Bush, wideout Torrey Smith and defensive lineman Darnell Dockett in free agency but it will almost impossible for the 49ers to replace all of the lost talent plus the drop off at head coach from Harbaugh to Jim Tomsula. We are simply not sold on the 49ers at all this season. We didn’t like their draft at all and we have a hard time seeing quarterback Colin Kaepernick performing better now that Harbaugh isn’t around to help him. This season should be a disaster for San Francisco. 2015 Projected Record for San Francisco 49ers: 5-11
