NSAwins.com’s Week 8 College Football Top 25

This Week’s “SUPER 10″(Teams Ranked 1-10 in NSAwins.com’s Poll)

NOTE: ALL Records thru October 11, 2009
RK(LW), TEAM, RECORD
#1(3) – Alabama Crimson Tide 7-0 The defense was outstanding again in a 20-6 win over South Carolina last saturday. Two big rivalry games the next 2 weeks vs Tennessee and LSU will show us just how good the Tide really are.
#2(2) Florida Gators 6-0 What was that????? Struggling to beat an average Arkansas team in the Swamp 23-20 as a -24 point favorite? This team has not been anywhere near as dominant as it was last season. They must improve dramatically if they want to beat Alabama in the SEC Championship.
#3(3) – Texas Longhorns 6-0 Solid win over rival Oklahoma last saturday. However, OU was dominating before Sam Bradford got hurt. The Longhorns, like the Gators, have a lot of improving to do if they want to win the National Title this season.
#4(5) – TCU Horned Frogs 6-0 This team is a lot better than people think and we’ve been saying it all season. This team will run the table and should play in a BCS bowl game.
#5(6) – USC Trojans 5-1 The Trojans played ok in South Bend winning 34-27 but the defense dissapointed us. The Trojans are nowhere near as good as they’ve been for most of this decade. This is probably the worst USC team in the last 8 years. Having said that, they still are a Top 5 team in an otherwise mediocre group of teams this College Football season.
#6(8) – LSU Tigers 5-1 Bye week last saturday.
#7(9) – Miami Hurricanes 5-1 The Canes rolled 27-7 at Central Florida last saturday. Three tough road games remain at Wake Forest, at North Carolina and at South Florida. The Canes must keep up the intensity and avoid a slip up if they want to win the ACC and play in a BCS game.
#8(10) – Boise St Broncos 6-0 Boise St got it done 28-21 last thursday at Tulsa. If it avoids a slip up this saturday at Hawaii then they should cruise to an undefeated regular season again and play in an other BCS bowl game.
#9(11) – Cincinnati Bearcats 6-0 Impressive 24-17 roda win at South Florida. The final regular season game December 5th at Pittsburgh looks like it will be a doozy and decide the Big East Championship.
#10(20) – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 6-1 Outstanding win at home 28-23 over a very good Virginia Tech team saturday. The Jackets have played really good ball since losing 33-17 at Miami-Fl.

BEST of the REST(Teams Ranked 11-25)

#11(4) – Virginia Tech Hokies 5-2
#12(12) – Oklahoma St 5-1
#13(14) – Oregon Ducks 5-1
#14(16) – Iowa Hawkeyes 7-0
#15(17) – BYU Cougars 6-1
#16(18) – Penn St Nittany Lions 6-1
#17(22) – Houston Cougars 5-1
#18(23) – Utah Utes 5-1
#19(25) – Pittsburgh Panthers 6-1
#20(7) – Ohio St Buckeyes 5-2
#21(NR) – Texas Tech Red Raiders 5-2
#22(NR) – West Virginia Mountaineers 5-1
#23(24) – South Carolina Gamecocks 5-2
#24(13) – Kansas Jayhawks 5-1
