THE PIGSKIN GUY’S Free Football Picks for New Years Day 1/1/10
Northwestern +9 – Northwestern hasn’t won a bowl game since 1949 but that may come to an end today against a mediocre(at best) Auburn team. Auburn is just 7-5 on the season and has a defense giving up 26.9 ppg. Look for Northwestern to score plenty and at worst keep this one close enough to cover.
Florida St +3 – FSU’s players, fans and alumni will be extremely motivated to send Bobby Bowden off into the sunset as a winner one more time. FSU gets it done.
Penn St Pk – LSU is solid but Penn St’s offense will be a little too much for LSU to keep up with, while Penn St’s stout defense should find a way to contain LSU.
Ohio St +4.5 – I love the Buckeyes today. They will be chomping at the bit to finally breakthrough with a BIG WIN out of conference versus a Top 10 club and they will get it done against a Oregon team that has a dynamic offense but mediocre defense.
Florida -12.5 – You just know Meyer and Tebow want to end it the right way witha BIG WIN and you have to wonder if Cincinnati will be ready considering their coach left them out to dry when his fraud ass took off for Notre Dame. Florida just has too many athletes and speed for Cincy to hang with.
